Note biografiche e bibliografia di Claude Lalumière
Claude Lalumière, nato a Montreal il 19 febbraio 1966, è un recensore, editore e curatore di antologie e uno scrittore canadese di genere dark fantasy e di fantascienza. Cresciuto nella città natale dove ha posseduto e gestito due librerie indipendenti, assieme a Rupert Bottenberg è co-creatore di lostmyths.net e, durante gli anni in cui si è dedicato alla scrittura, ha scritto articoli, recensioni e altri contributi per giornali e riviste tra cui il New York Review Science Fiction, Locus online e la rubrica Fantastic Fiction della Montreal Gazette. Nonostante il suo cognome francofono, scrive in inglese, e molte delle sue storie sono generalmente definite dark fantasy in quanto la sua narrativa che oscilla tra il fantastico, il weird e la fantascienza. |

Autore eclettico, ha curato anche numerose antologie e partecipa regolarmente a varie convention in giro per il mondo: in Italia é stato ospite alla Deepcon di Fiuggi e a Stranimondi di Milano.
Il suo primo racconto, Bestial Acts, è apparso su Interzone nel 2002 e da allora ne ha pubblicati circa un centinaio, alcuni dei quali hanno successivamente composto le tre raccolte Objects of Worship, Nocturnes and Other Nocturnes e Other Persons/Altre persone.
In lingua italiana sono apparsi il racconto Ice Age (Questa è l'era glaciale) in Controrealtà su Urania Millemondi 2a serie 52 edito da Mondadori, il romanzo mosaico Venera Dreams: A Weird Entertainment (Sognando Venera) edito da Watson edizioni nel 2019, il racconto The Object of Worship (L'oggetto di venerazione) sulla rivista di letteratura weird e fantastica Hypnos n. 10 nell'autunno 2019, il racconto Hochelaga and Sons (I figli di Hochelaga) sulla rivista Robot 49 nel 2020, e la serie di racconti ucronici Second Global War pubblicata da Delos Digital.
