Rebecca Campbell, nata nel 1975 a Duncan, è un'insegnante e una scrittrice canadese di narrative weird e di fantascienza. Laureata in letteratura canadese all'University of Western Ontario, oltre ad insegnare, è amante degli archivi e delle biblioteche e scrive storie di genere weird o di fantascienza in cui tratta principalmente temi legati al cambiamento climatico. Dopo il suo primo romanzo, The Paradise Engine, pubblicato da NeWest Press nel 2013, i suoi lavori sono apparsi su numerose riviste del settore come Clarkesworld, The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Tor.com, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Interfictions Online e Interzone.

Inoltre alcuni suoi racconti sono stati inseriti in antologie come The Year's Best Science Fiction, The Year's Best Science Fiction and Fantasy, The Year's Best Dark Fantasy and Horror e nei volumi 5 e 6 di The Best Science Fiction of the Year.

The Glad Hosts, pubblicato da Lackington's nel 2015, è stato nominato per un Sunburst Award, premio che poi ha vinto nel 2020 con il racconto The Fourth Trimester is the Strangest: nel 2021 ha vinto il Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award con An Important Failure.
