Note biografiche e bibliografia di Jack Campbell
Jack Campbell è lo pseudonimo di John G. Hemry, nato il 14 aprile 1956, ufficiale in pensione della Marina degli Stati Uniti e scrittore di fantascienza. Laureato alla Lyons High School di Lyons, Kansas nel 1974, ha frequentato nel 1978 l'Accademia Navale degli Stati Uniti. Il suo primo racconto, The Glades del 1991, è stato scritto come passatempo e, solo dopo il suo ritiro in pensione, ha abbracciato la professione di scrittore. Autore di romanzi di fantascienza militare, attinge alla sua passata esperienza come ufficiale della Marina e come nel caso delle serie Stark's War e Paul Sinclair. |

Il vero successo è comunque arrivato con la serie Lost Fleet, caratterizzata da grandi avventure nello spazio e combattimenti mozzafiato, alla quale è stato aggiunto lo spin-off Beyond the Frontier, che concentra la narrazione sui personaggi principali della Lost Fleet, mentre una seconda serie, The Lost Stars, si concentra sul crollo dei Syndicate Worlds.
