Note biografiche e bibliografia di Eric James Stone
Eric James Stone, nato nel 1967, è un amministratore di sistema, programmatore e uno scrittore americano di genere horror, fantasy e di fantascienza. Figlio di un immigrato argentino, ha trascorso gran parte della sua infanzia in America Latina, successivamente ha vissuto cinque anni in Inghilterra e due in Italia prima di trasferirsi negli Stati Uniti. Dopo essersi laureato in scienze politiche alla Brigham Young University ha frequentato alcuni corsi di scrittura creativa, ma poi ha smesso con la scrittura per una decina di anni durante i quali ha conseguito una laurea in giurisprudenza alla Baylor Baylor Law School: ha lavorato in ambito politico a Washington per diversi anni prima di diventare sviluppatore web. |

Nel 2002 ha ripreso a scrivere e ha frequentato il Literary Boot Camp fondato da Orson Scott Card vincendo nel 2004 il concorso Writers of the Future.
Da allora ha pubblicato una trentina di racconti apparsi su varie riviste come Analog Science Fiction and Fact, InterGalactic Medicine Show e Jim Baen's Universe mentre alcuni dei quali come Rejiggering the Thingamajig ha ricevuto nel 2010 una nomination al Readers of Analog Science Fiction and Fact ed è stato inserito nella raccolta Rejiggering the Thingamajig and Other Stories del 2011.
Con il racconto breve That Leviathan, Whom Thou Hast Made, ha vinto il Nebula Award nella categoria miglior racconto, è stato finalista al premio Hugo Award, ed è stato pubblicato in Italia nel 2011 sulla rivista Robot numero 63 da Delos Books.
Il thriller di fantascienza Unforgettable, pubblicato dalla casa editrice Baen Books, è stato opzionato da Hollywood più volte.
