Note biografiche e bibliografia di M.A. Rothman
Michael A. Rothman, è un ingegnere e uno scrittore americano di romanzi di genere fantasy epico, thriller tecnologici e fantascienza. Ingegnere senior presso Intel e uno dei principali architetti dello standard UEFI in qualità di presidente del sottogruppo di configurazione UEFI (UCST), ha oltre 285 brevetti di utilità registrati presso l'ufficio brevetti e marchi degli Stati Uniti e oltre 735 brevetti aggiuntivi registrati al di fuori dei confini americani. Personalità creativa con un forte background in scienza e matematica, oltre ad aver utilizzato queste caratteristiche nei suoi oltre 30 anni di carriera, le ha applicate anche in ambito letterario. |  |
Il suo esordio come scrittore è stato il romanzo fantasy epico Heirs of Prophecy, pubblicato nell'aprile 2012 da M&S Publishing, al quale sono seguiti due sequel Tools of Prophecy del 2012 e Lords of Prophecy del 2013 oltre al prequel Princess Interrupted apparso nell'ottobre 2013.
Successivamente ha scritto diversi romanzi nei generi hard science fiction, epic fantasy, techno thriller e fantascienza distopica entrando per tre volte nella lista dei bestseller di USA Today.
Il romanzo post-apocalittico Dispocalypse è apparso nel giugno 2016 tramite M & S e in seguito è diventato il terzo episodio della serie New Beginnings con i prequel Running From Destiny e The Code Breaker pubblicati nell'ottobre 2020 da Primordial Press.
Nell'agosto 2018 ha pubblicato il romanzo di fantascienza hard ambientato nel prossimo futuro, Primordial Threat, al quale è seguito Freedom's Last Gasp, pubblicato nell'aprile 2020.
Primordial Threat è stato tradotto e pubblicato nel 2025 in Italia con il titolo Minaccia primordiale sempre dalla casa editrice Primordial Press.
La maggior parte dei suoi lavori è firmata con lo pseudonimo M.A. Rothman ma per alcuni romanzi ha utilizzato il suo vero nome.
