Ray Vukcevich - Biografia
Ray Vukcevich, nato a Carlsbad nello stato del New Mexico l'11 settembre 1946, è uno scrittore americano di fantasy e di fantascienza. Dopo gli studi ha lavorato molti anni come assistente ricercatore in diversi laboratori universitari, poi si è trasferito a Eugene in Oregon dove attualmente vive e scrive a tempo pieno. Il suo primo racconto di fantascienza, Rachel's Inheritance, è stato pubblicato sulla rivista Pulphouse nell'autunno del 1989 e in seguito è stato molto profilico nella scrittura di racconti molti dei quali sono apparsi su riviste di fantascienza e letterarie. Membro del gruppo degli scrittori di Wordos, è stato finalista al Nebula Award 2004 per il romanzo breve White Guys in Space. |

A detti di alcuni critici le sue storie ricordano quelle di R.A. Lafferty, George Saunders e David Sedaris, in quanto uniche, imprevedibili, originali, con una sorpresa in ciascuna di esse e traboccanti di arguzia e umorismo.
